State Dept. Grilled About New Biden Scandal: Rob Malley, Iran, Classified Docs, Even 'Treason' Question Raised
By Nick Arama | 2:15 PM on July 26, 2023

While a lot of the media world is understandably looking at the evolving news around the Hunter Biden plea deal, there’s another Biden administration scandal that is pretty huge but isn’t getting the same amount of attention: What the heck is going on with Rob Malley?

The State Department faced a grilling on Wednesday behind closed doors in a classified briefing about Rob Malley.

Rob Malley was one of the architects behind the 2015 Iran nuclear deal during the Obama/Biden administration. Joe Biden made him the Special Envoy to Iran in 2021, and he revived talk on the deal that former President Donald Trump had pulled out of in 2018.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee had been trying to get testimony from him for months. Still, the State Department kept putting them off for a variety of reasons, even though he was making press appearances.

Then it turned out that Malley had been stripped of his security clearance and placed on full unpaid leave pending a State Department security investigation for possible mishandling of classified documents. That investigation involved the FBI and the Diplomatic Security Service (the law enforcement branch of the State Department). He had been placed on partial leave in the spring.

That’s incredibly concerning, given his position and what he might have done. The fact that virtually no one in the Biden team suffers consequences suggests that what he did was problematic if even the Biden administration took some action. But then, typically, they’re not being straight with Congress and not telling people what happened here.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Michael McCaul (R-TX) said earlier this month:

“At no point did the Department indicate that Special Envoy Malley’s security clearance was suspended or under review, or that he was being investigated for potential misconduct,” wrote the congressman.

He added, “The Department’s failure to inform Congress of this matter demonstrates at best a lack of candor, and at worst represents deliberate and potentially unlawful misinformation.”

McCaul threatened to hold the State Department in contempt if they didn’t get a classified briefing. He also used the word “treason” because the way the Biden team is acting makes it look awful. McCaul has previously said that they didn’t know what was going on but that if he had leaked classified information to our adversaries, like Iran or Russia, that could constitute an “act of treason.”

    https://twitter.com/KayhanLife/stat...ied-docs-even-treason-question-raised-n782329

Now, I’m not saying that he has committed that, but we need to know what is going on. We need to be briefed in the Congress. This is the very same man who negotiated the Iran deal, This is a man that the nation has put their most – their biggest confidence in, with some of the biggest secrets related to Iran’s nuclear weapons program, and if there’s anything that has compromised that, Congress needs to know.

The grilling on Wednesday came after an agreement with McCaul to brief Congress on the matter.

Iranian press is reporting that Malley was holding secret talks with the Iranians at the United Nations, perhaps without authorization. That would be a huge problem, to say the least.

Malley, in fact, has a history of holding unsanctioned meetings with America’s enemies, including in 2008, when he was fired from the Obama campaign for conducting talks with the Iranian-backed terror group Hamas. In addition to mishandling classified information, officials can have their security clearances revoked if they fail to disclose contacts with foreigners.

The Tehran Times, a pro-regime mouthpiece, claimed earlier this month that Malley engaged in “suspicious interactions with unofficial advisors of Iranian descent,” and that his security clearance was initially pulled in late April. The disclosure of these details in the Iranian press indicates that sources in Tehran may know more about the situation than those in the American media.

Leaking Classified Information to Pro-Tehran Advocates

Sources who spoke to the Free Beacon indicated that Malley may have leaked classified information to a network of pro-Tehran advocates who supported the Obama administration’s Iran deal. Malley and others involved in the original Iran deal routinely briefed this group to ensure they reiterated the Obama administration’s talking points about the deal. The collection of Iran deal supporters and those sympathetic to the hardline regime came to be known as the “echo chamber.”

Sources say Malley may have resumed briefing the echo chamber as President Joe Biden pushes to resurrect the Iran deal, and that during one such briefing he may have leaked information he was not authorized to disclose.

I’ve reported before that during Trump’s term, Malley (and other Obama/Biden people) met with the Iranians, trying to preserve the Iran deal, going around what the Trump administration was doing at the time. Talk about a possible Logan Act problem. Yet neither he nor any of the Obama/Biden team that were involved with meeting with the Iranians were held to account for those meetings. It’s also more than a little concerning that Obama and Biden would hire him for such a pivotal position after his contact with Hamas.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) demanded answers, “The State Department needs to explain why Robert Malley continued working on negotiations with Iran to resurrect the failed nuclear deal after losing his security clearance.”

It is so funny to watch Kevin The Coward playing this game of three card monte. First he had to muzzle Boebert to keep her from trying to bring impeachment to the floor for a vote. Because it would fail. So instead he promised Trump and the Crazy Caucus they could "expunge" Trump's two impeachments. Which first isn't even possible but more importantly Kevin The Coward didn't have the votes for that either. So he jumps back into an "impeachment inquiry" to keep the Crazy Causes from taking his gavel. But that is like saying endeavor to persevere because the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans have done nothing but an impeachment inquiry all day every day since they got their razor thin majority and he is still in the same place. The at risk members of his conference are saying they will have to vote against it. So Kevin The Coward comes up with a bunch of weasel words. And he probably doesn't even think the majority of Americans are so stupid ignorant and mentally ill they can't see the con game Kevin The Coward has going. But he knows the members of the Crazy Caucus are.

And Kevin The Coward is actually pretty stupid and ignorant himself. But not so stupid and ignorant he doesn't know as soon as he officially starts an impeachment inquiry the shit gets real. And Democrats get lots of time to expose the lies, false propaganda, and psychological projection of his treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republican caucus. Which is a fate worse than death for them because it would take away their only talking or I should say streaming point.

In a closed-door meeting with House Republicans on Wednesday morning, Speaker Kevin McCarthy reiterated to his conference that an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden is on the table but suggested it is not yet imminent, according to multiple sources in the room.

McCarthy, who earlier this week floated the possibility of an impeachment probe of the president, took time at the conference meeting to explain how that inquiry would differ from an impeachment vote, describing the investigation as an escalated formal probe that would give Republicans more tools to examine the president and his family, sources said.

This is the furthest the speaker has gone on this issue, but it is still extremely vague.

As recently as last month, McCarthy suggested he didn't see value in impeachment-related proceedings because "we're already having investigations."

Last fall, before winning the speakership, he said impeachments are unpopular when “used for political purposes” and “if anyone ever rises to that occasion, you have to, but I think the country wants to heal and … start to see the system that actually works.”

In an interview on Fox News on Monday, however, McCarthy pointed to subsequent testimony from two Internal Revenue Service whistleblowers as well as an FBI report containing unverified corruption claims from an anonymous source. "We've only followed where the information has taken us. ... This is rising to the level of impeachment inquiry, which provides Congress the strongest power to get the rest of the knowledge and information needed," he said, charging the president with using the government to "benefit his family."

The White House has denounced Republican-led probes as politically motivated and baseless.

"Instead of focusing on the real issues Americans want us to address like continuing to lower inflation or create jobs, this is what [the House GOP] wants to prioritize," White House spokesperson Ian Sams tweeted this week. "Their eagerness to go after [Biden] regardless of the truth is seemingly bottomless."

McCarthy has not indicated what his threshold would be for launching an impeachment inquiry and he has not given any timeline for when it could happen.

As speaker, he presides over a five-seat majority in which in any single member can force a vote to oust him. McCarthy also deals with different wings of his party: both the hard-line members pushing him forward on Biden investigations and the more cautious moderates who don't want to rush into a sensitive and potentially explosive proceeding without concrete evidence.

Sources told ABC News that Republicans have realized they have a lot of ongoing House investigations and not a lot of time -- with the next elections now slightly more than a year away.

Some members have privately called on McCarthy to focus on an impeachment of Biden over any other administration official.

“There are still some things we need to get information on that this administration has been stonewalling on," House Majority Leader Steve Scalise maintained on Wednesday. "An inquiry gives us more ability to find out the facts, to get those facts out to the American people."

Congress to launch Biden impeachment inquiry after he 'clearly lied'

House Republicans have floated launching an impeachment inquiry against President Biden amid newly surfaced allegations that suggest his involvement in the business dealings of his son. But can congressional lawmakers initiate the use of that constitutional tool for alleged treason, bribery or high crimes and misdemeanors that transpired before holding the office of the presidency?

"The answer is clear," Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz told Fox News Digital. "No one knows."

Article II, Section 4, of the U.S. Constitution states: "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

But it doesn’t specify whether those alleged actions need to take place during the time the official holds the office.

"The crucial impeachment language in the Constitution is not limited to ‘high Crimes and Misdemeanors’ committed while ‘in office,’" senior legal fellow at The Heritage Foundation Hans A. von Spakovsky told Fox News Digital. "That language is not there."

Fox News contributor Andy McCarthy noted that "impeachment is a political process, not a legal one."

James Comer Raises Concerns of Biden Racketeering

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) raised concerns that the Biden family could be involved in racketeering, the act of operating a business with illegally derived income through money laundering.

Speaking on the Verdict with Ted Cruz podcast this week, Comer revealed the Biden family business caused six banks to flag over 170 “large” amounts of money in Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the treasury for review, 20 more than previously known. SARs “often contain evidence of potential criminal activities, such as money laundering and fraud,” according to a 2020 Senate report.

Comer, who is a former bank board member of ten years, said from his experience that just two SARs would make it difficult for an average citizen to open a bank account. SARs occur very seldom, Comer explained.

“How many [SARs] were issued concerning Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, the Biden family?” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) asked Comer.

    “Over 170,” he replied.

“You were on a bank [board for ten years], and they issued two [SARs]?” Cruz asked.

“If you had two SARS against you, it would be hard for you to open an account somewhere,” Comer explained. “There wouldn’t be any bank that would want to have you as a customer because it’s not worth the paperwork.”

“Remember, when the bank files one of these [SARs] — you could understand this, appreciate this, senator — that’s inviting the regulators to come in and regulate [the bank]. That’s the last thing the bank [wants].”

“What triggers it?” Cruz asked. “You’re a banker. What is it that makes you say, ‘We ought to file a SAR?'”

“A large transaction that comes out of the blue,” Comer replied. “I’ll use the Robinson Walker account [for example] because that was the first bank account we subpoenaed.”

Rob Walker is a Biden associate who Comer says funneled money from China and Romania. In March, Comer obtained SARs on Walker, who received a $3 million wire transfer from CEFC China Energy Co. in 2017. In turn, four Biden family members — Hunter, James, Hallie, and an unidentified “Biden” — received a collective $1.3 million cut from the $3 million wire transfer.

“Now remember, this account never had much activity in it over the course of 10 years. [It] maintained around a $40,000 or $50,000 balance. Then one day, out of the blue, they get a $3 million wire from China,” Comer explained. “And he’d never gotten a foreign wire before … then, all of a sudden, a $3 million wire.”

Comer believes the Biden family opened more than 20 shell companies to hide payments and launder money.

“Just after 24 hours, the next day, they [the Bidens] start wiring incremental payments to different Biden shell companies,” Comer said. “When you set up a bunch of shell companies for the sole purpose to launder money, that is called racketeering.”

According to legal experts, the law defines 35 offenses that constitute racketeering, including gambling, murder, kidnapping, arson, drug dealing, and bribery. In 1987, former United States Attorney Rudolph Giuliani indicted the heads of New York City’s “Five Families” under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). Eight of them were convicted under RICO.

The great thing about the biden crime syndicate is that, unlike most gangsters and racketeers, they don't even 'pretend' to have a legitimate business....

Seriously, what product or service do the biden's claim to provide that warrants having two dozen LLCs????
